Holly Jackson

(1985 - )

Holly Jackson is a self-taught mixed media textile artist who builds miniature worlds in thread and found objects. Her narrative textiles tells stories of women and the environment through fantastical takes on familiar subjects. Her work combines antique hand stitching techniques with modern semi-industrial materials. She loves working in relief and incorporating textile sculpture into her pieces.

Born in Delaware, Holly’s decade living in New Orleans introduced her to art, color, and textiles and influences her work to this day. She believes that more is always more and that life never has enough color in it.
